THANK YOU! A heartfelt Thank You to those who worked our Concession Stand Fundraiser at LanternFest at the Spring Hill Recreation Area on August 19th, including Jeff and Dawn Chase, Barry Kray, Ray and Wendy Delcourt, Roger Guptill, Marc Scheele, Mal Kenney, Bruce Brown, Mike and Joyce St. Pierre, Steve Shea, and Shelley, Collin, Alyse and Ivy Landry. This was an incredible team effort which was highly profitable for our organization.
 
IMPORTANT CHANGE: The Annual Post Picnic at Mal Kenney's home, 52 Agamenticus Road, South Berwick has been re-scheduled to Saturday, August 29th .
 
NOTE: Our next Regular Meeting will be Thursday, September 10th at 5:30 p.m. at the South Berwick Community Center, 71 Norton Street, South Berwick. All qualified and potentially qualified active military and veterans are invited to join us. A member-supplied meal will be provided.
 
Post 5744 will continue its Concessions Stand Fundraising throughout the rest of the year. We will need 2 - 3 volunteers at each event, except where noted. Note bulleted items below. 

  • Saturday, September 12th we will be at the Mill Fields Festival in North Berwick, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 13th we will be at Kittery Trading Post's 50th  September Fest event 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
 
Saturday, September 19th our Post will partner with First Federated Church to package and provide take-out Turkey Suppers.

  • Saturday, October 24th we will be at the Paul Street Block Party in downtown South Berwick from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 3rd we will be at the South Berwick Poling Station (Marshwood High School) from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
 
Wednesday, November 4th our Post will be at the SoBo Soup Fundraiser at Spring Hill from 5 p.m. -7 p.m.
 
Saturday, November 7th our Post will hold its annual Toll Booth Poppy Drive in downtown South Berwick from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be an "all hands" event.
 
Wednesday, November 11th our Post will hold its annual Veterans Day Observance at the South Berwick Community Center at 2 p.m.
 
Also in November, don't forget the incredible Veterans Day Assemblies at Marshwood Great Works School and Marshwood Middle School. Time to be announced.
 
Saturday, November 14th our Post will retire (pick up) flags from Veterans' graves over at Woodlawn Cemetery and other local cemeteries. We will have a 9 a.m. start.

  • Saturday, December 5th we will be at the South Berwick's "Home for the Holidays" event downtown 11 a.m. to 6 p,m.
 
Monday, December 7th our Post will hold a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony at 8:00 a.m. at Counting House Park in South Berwick.

No Once Does More For Veterans
